Acupuncture

Very small, sterile needles are used to prick the skin or go deeper into the tissue, so that acupuncture can provide pain and stress relief, as well as the resetting of body systems so that they can start and continue to work correctly.

Bart is also a trained herbal medicine practitioner and can work with you for a herbal plan that works with your needs to improve your health. Includes general acupuncture, dry needling, and herbal medicine.

Ayurvedic Facial Massage

Massage

Massage is manipulation, pressing, and rubbing of the soft tissue, tendons, and ligaments to normalize them.

Trigger point massage focuses on detecting and releasing trigger points – think of those specific points that cause pain.

Myofascial massage focuses on the supporting muscles using continued pressure. Sports massage focuses on specific sports performance and movements.

Herbal soak massages are our own combination of herbal soaks and massages. These soaks are where herbal blends specific to our needs are soaked into the towels and then placed on your body and massaged through so that you can experience the full benefits of both the massage and the herbal soak at the same time.

Detoxification Foot Baths

After a scan for your body’s specific needs, a detoxifying foot soak is made especially for you, drawing out the toxins from deep within your body for a full body experience.

Facials and Waxing with Esthetician

Our onsite esthetician offers facials and waxing. Facials can help with skin conditions and marks from aging. Waxing completes the spa experience with someone you know and trust.

FAQs

Brief list of Frequently Asked Questions

What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture is the use of a fine, sterile needle in the skin or tissue along meridian lines to relieve pain and reset bodily systems.

Why does the acupuncturist look at my tongue?

The tongue is the road map to the body. The cracks, coating, color, and shape all point to the health of the body and organs.

Why does the acupuncturist take my pulse?

There are 12 pulse positions on the wrist corresponding to specific meridian lines and organ systems. Your acupuncturist will look for 27 individual qualities that indicate overall health.

Why did the acupuncturist recommend herbs?

Herbs are an excellent support to healing and restoring the body systems that are being worked on during acupuncture. To aid in the process, the acupuncturist may combine them.

How many acupuncture appointments will I need?

The number of appointments needed varies from person to person. Your specific needs will be covered in your treatment plan.

Does my health insurance cover acupuncture?

To know for sure if your health insurance covers acupuncture, you will need to contact your health insurance company. Be sure to ask about the number of visits per calendar year, referral, copay, and deductible.

How safe is acupuncture?

Acupuncture is extremely safe. It is an all-natural, drug-free therapy, yielding no side effects just feelings of relaxation and well-being. There is little danger of infection from acupuncture needles because they are sterile, used once, and then discarded.
